Telnet Page ‘d’ ISDN Open Events

Page d (or D) displays up to the last 16 events that opened links for each active bundle in the router. The page is updated every second. The period of time covered by this log will vary based on the number of events that cause one or more links to be opened. Each event is timed using the time of Day clock maintained by the router. The generic format of each page is defined below.

T=A S=B.B.B.B D=C.C.C.C C=D B=E P=F DP=G

Where

A = Type Values

This value indicates the type of communication that initiated the establishment of the first or subsequent link and may take one of the following values

  1. = A link has been started because the router has detected during its normal timer check period (defined by MIB = todCheckTimer) that the number of currently connected links for this bundle is less than the required number of fixed links (MIB = todFixedLinks)

  2. = A second or subsequent link has been added to the bundled because the capacity limit (set by the todThreshold MIB parameter) has been exceeded and the number of currently open links is less than the maximum allowed number of links (MIB = todMaxLinks).

  3. = A continuous (default) Time of Day slot with one or more fixed channels has been activated when the number of currently connected links is less than the number of fixed links. The router immediately attempts to activate all required links.

  4. = A Time of Day slot has been initialized and the number of currently active links is less than that specified in the ToD slot. The system will attempt to bring up all the required links for this ToD slot. This condition occurs either on system start up or after the system ToD configuration has been changed using the LIVE MIB features.

  5. = A new Time of Day slot has just been activated (previous ToD slot has expired) and the number of currently active links is less than that specified in the ToD slot. The system will attempt to bring up all the required links for this ToD slot.

  6. = A link has been started after a bump condition i.e. this link replaces a link bumped from another bundle.

  7. = A user initiated request has opened the link. All other values are valid.

NOTE: For types 1 to 6 all values except Type will be 0.

B.B.B.B = Source IP address

The source IP address for type = 7 events only.

C.C.C.C = Destination IP address.

The destination IP address for type = 7 events only.

D = Time of Day

The number of minutes past midnight that the event occurred.

E = Bundle index

The system bundle index – corresponds to the userProfile table entry instance number.

F = Protocol

The protocol type, may take the following values

1 = ICMP traffic (pings etc.)

6 = TCP traffic

11 = UDP traffic

G = Destination Port

The destination port number.
