Telnet Page 4 HotPools Status

Telnet Page 4 displays details of the HotPools system status. The page is updated every 1 second. If HotPools is not currently active this page will display ‘HotPools not active’ and only display the Link Table and the Pipe Table described below.

The following defines the generic entry format for a Page 4 display.

Where values above have the following meaning

LineState

Entries define the state of the line as follows:

• NNN defines the state of the line and may be:
  • IDLE = line not initialized
  • OK = line is operational
  • DOWN = line has gone down (normally U or S/T cable removed)
• O defines the number of currently free channels on this router.
• P defines the number of currently active and available channels on this router

HotPool Routers

Entries describe the currently active Peer HotPool Routers in this Pool. There may be up to 20 active Routers in each HotPool. Any number of separate HotPools may co-exist on a single LAN. A Router may belong to only one HotPool at a time.

• A = the the pool number. Pool 0 is the inactive Pool.
• BB = the IP address of the peer HP router in pool A
• CC = the status of the router and may be:
  • 00 = alive
  • 01 = not currently responding to ARE_YOU_ALIVE polls
• DD = the number of channels currently free on this peer router.
• E = the HotPools protocol version number for backward compatibility.

Pipe Table

Entries define the pipe table and its status (BRI routers have 2 pipe tables, PRI routers have 23 (North America) or 30 (RoW)).

• KK = the status of the pipe and may take one of the following values
• RM = REMOTE (the ROUTE_MASTER is in a peer router)
• LC = LOCAL (the ROUTE_MASTER is in this router)
• FR = UNCONNECTED
• BP = Bumped (pipe has been bumped for another link to use)
• LLL = the link index (in this router) using the link (if UNCONNECTED = -1)
• MMM = the state of the SPID (Service Profile Identifier) as follows:
• IDLE = line not initialized
• OK = line is operational
• DOWN = line has gone down (if only one, typically an error in SPID value)

Link Table

Entries define the status of all active links in this router (there may be up to 162 active link entries)

• FFF = the Link Index
• GG = the index of the entry in the HotPool Router if this entry is REMOTE or LOCAL_PROXY (else FF)
• HHH = the RemoteLink Index if the entry is REMOTE or LOCAL_PROXY (else -1)
• I = the pipe number if entry is LOCAL_PROXY or LOCAL_MASTER (else -1)
• J = the Status of the link and may be:
• LM = LOCAL_MASTER (link and MASTER are in this router)
• LP = LOCAL_PROXY (link in this router ROUTE_MASTER is in HP index, HLI is shadow link in ROUTE_MASTER)
• RM = REMOTE this is the shadow link in the ROUTE_MASTER (real link = RLI in HP router)
• FR = FREE (available for use)
