Advanced Routing
ZyTrax’s powerful HotPools™ routing technology provides:
- Multiple BRI lines (64K to 512K) may be combined as a
single logical “connection”. (Requiring a single default gateway
address) for dynamic sharing of resources.
- Dynamic bandwidth from 0 to 512K. Continuous
monitoring of throughput (incoming and outgoing) is user configurable and
allows tailoring of capacity (and cost) directly to need.
- Policy Routing lets the user allocate a priority
rating to traffic (by type, IP address or port number) ensuring that even
in times of overload the traffic you want to get through will get through.
- Time of Day Routing >lets the user choose the
number of channels (from 0 to 8) and the type (permanent, dynamic in any
combination) based on the time of day and day of the week.
Permanent Virtual Access
Using HotPools technology ZyTrax is pioneering Permanent
Virtual Access a unique method of accessing the Internet, Intranet
or Extranet where costs are tied strictly to usage (not connection).

'Proxy' NAT and DHCP
ZyTrax has enhanced NAT (Network Address Translation) to provide a
Thin Proxy server. Combined with our optional DHCP server, configuring a
network and getting on-line has never been easier.

Firewall and Security
ZyTrax LockBox™ security provides Firewall and
enhanced 'Proxy' NAT services to ensure that only the
traffic you allow gets to your LAN:
Firewall
A user configurable firewall allows you to select any combination of the
following.
- Outgoing enabled. In this mode only those IP
addresses you initiate communication with are allowed to get through the
firewall.
IP Address. You can select by IP Address or
Address range the systems that are allowed through (or not allowed
through) the firewall.
Traffic Type. You can select the traffic type (e.g.
UDP, ICMP, TCP) that are allowed through (or not allowed through) the
firewall.
Port Number. You can select those port numbers
(or ranges) that are allowed through (or not allowed through) the firewall
(e.g. HTTP ONLY, NOT Telnet).
Monitoring and Management
ZyTrax provides a range of GUI utilities to let you monitor and manage (locally
or remotely) your connections
- CoolFig is our GUI configuration and management utility with a Router Wizard
to guide you through the initial configuration and specialized displays to
let you unleash all the power of your WarpTwo router.
- Zing Router and Network Monitor utility lets you check your throughput (short
term, long term and hourly) and the status of your network connections in
a compact graphic display.
Upgrading
New features may be added by downloading (locally or remotely) while the router is
fully operational. ZyTrax's unique 'dual boot' and 'probation' technology
ensures you always have the most reliable software.
