CoolFig ..... Cool Router Configuration

CoolFig is ZyTrax's Router configuration and Management utility a sophisticated GUI based application that provides the following features and capabilities:

Router Wizard

• The Router Wizard Guides the user through the process of self-configuring a viable router configuration no matter how complex. Each step captures the minimum information while providing both 'bubble' help and HTML help back-up.

• Four basic profile choices (Static Client, Server, Proxy and PVA) simplify the process of creating a new configuration.

• Complex multi-site Server and HotPools/PVA Router configurations are built up progressively by the Wizard.

• Visual Icons constantly feedback where the user is during complex multi-site configurations.

• Data Capture is minimized, wherever practical the Wizard fills in as much of the data as is known e.g. the IP root address to save excessive typing and minimize errors.

• Extensive field and context vetting ensures only viable configurations are constructed.

• Specialized tools allow 'Error Free' selection and definition of subnets in complex configurations.

• Auto-Routing features allow the Wizard to fill-in-the -blanks.

• High and Low IP addresses are used instead of sub net masks to reduce risk in error prone tasks (the Wizard automatically generates the minimum required sub net mask).

• Auto SPID generation based on the Area code and NXX code of the phone number .

Router Management

• Router Summary display uses a tree-structure display with in-situ editing.

• Multiple Views of the Router configuration may be called up to configure low-level tuning e.g. ISDN Line configuration, Routing etc.

• SNMP access to the ZyTrax configuration MIB is provided with descriptions of the fields and their meaning.

• Up to 16 Routers (Local or Remote) may be managed simultaneously.

• Configurations may be captured from an existing Router.

• Routers may be 'loaded from' an existing configuration.

• Initial IP address allocation is a double click operation using unique ZyFIND technology.

• Change of IP address is a double click operation using unique ZyFIND technology.

• Router configurations may be exported to the log file for subsequent printing.

• Optional logging of all operations to a disc file.

• Router configurations may be exported to a text file.

• Router configurations may be imported from a text file.
